It’s Day #2 of no school ’round here, thanks to the blanket of snow that dumped on Tuesday. We’re more than a little cabin fevery, so I was appreciating the quiet instead of doing what a good Mom does when it’s too quiet (wondering what the goats are up to. Duh.)
Goat #2 (coming in to my room, where I am trying [and failing miserably] to get some work done): Mama? Mama, I need headphones.

So I’ve been thinking. (What’s that you say? Oh, yes, obviously, I have not been writing. To which I reply: you have no idea how hard it is for me to do this thinking thing. Wow, what a year. Turned 38 (yikes), potty-trained the most stubborn preschooler in.the.world, bought a minivan (Vinnieman), got a BS in Comm, started a blog, had a summer nanny, started grad school, voted for a winner (FINALLY), and joined an online protest for marriage equality. (more…)
