P2 had started to look like a miniature David Cassidy what with the haircut-refusal stage (not that I blamed him after the unfortunately timed, night-before-first-ever-school-pictures buzz cut) but I was happy to let him run around looking however he wanted (it’s his hair, right?) It was driving PA insane, though, so last night he talked P2 into letting Daddy trim his hair.At first, I wasn’t too certain I liked it (so many straight lines after all of the shaggiliciousness!) but still it was way better than Mommy could have done so I didn’t criticize. Then this morning, I thought to myself “He looks really great!” so I said to P2 “You know what? I wasn’t too sure about your hair last night but the more I look at it, the better it gets.”
And dead serious, P2 said “Mom? Do you think you could keep looking at it, then?”
Nothing funnier than a dead serious kid. Not in my house anyway.
